Flint River Primitive Baptist Church is a community of faith rooted in the love of God. We believe worship is not just found in prayer, it’s something expressed in everything we do.      On October 4, 1808, Elder John Nicholson joined with others to organize the Flint River Primitive Baptist Church of our own race. The meetings were held at the home of Mr. James Deaton. On May 23, 1870, 3.24 acres of land were purchased from Mr. James Daniel and Mrs. Sallie Daniel. On August 8, 1870 the deed for this land was recorded in the name of the Flint River P. B. Church and its successors. Later, a few humble people got together and built a house in which to worship.

       In 1883, Flint River P. B. Church was a member of the Flint River P. B. Association. In 1916, Flint River P. B. Association and the Running Water P. B. Association consolidated and became known as the Consolidated Flint River and Running Water Primitive Baptist Association.
